If you've recently moved into the borough and do not yet have all the required documentation, we may offer you a 30-day temporary resident parking permit if you meet the criteria below. This temporary permit allows you time to gather and submit the necessary proof of residency.
- A copy of your valid photocard driving licence
- Proof of residency, such as:
• a valid tenancy agreement
• a council tax reference
• a letter of authorisation from the council tax account holder confirming your residence.
Note: If you provide a letter of authorisation, you must also include one piece of independent supporting evidence (see Documents you need to apply for a residents parking permit
Documents you need to apply for a residents parking permit configuration options).
The temporary permit will cost £100. Once we have received the required documentation, the money will be refunded and you will then make a payment for your full permit.
If you don't supply the required documents for the full permit, the £100 will not be refunded.
