Anti-social behaviour policy - 6, Supporting victims

We support victims of anti-social behaviour (ASB) through every stage of their case by:

  • Providing a single point of contact to keep victims updated and monitor ongoing risks
  • Maintaining regular contact, conducting risk assessments, and creating action plans in consultation with victims
  • Seeking consent for:
    • referrals to support services or advocacy
    • contacting the perpetrator or other relevant parties
    • using evidence for legal or court action
  • Using clear, accessible template letters that:
    • explain key steps and available support
    • emphasise the value of diary sheets
    • include direct contact details for case officers
  • Outlining how to escalate concerns if victims are unhappy with the support provided
  • Raising safeguarding concerns with adult or children's services when needed
  • Signposting victims and witnesses to further help via H&F's ASB support services, including community organisations
