Visitor permits

How they work and who can apply and what they allow you to do, including allowing your visitor access to restricted streets in Clean Air Neighbourhoods.

Visitor permit costs

What it costs

The permit itself is free.

Once you have a permit, you pay for the visitor parking sessions when you need them.

Visitor parking sessions cost:

  • £1.80 per hour
  • 90p per hour (discounted rate for Disabled users for the first 240 hours of parking each year)

This is less than the standard pay-and-display charge.

To be eligible for a disabled discount, you must have a Blue Badge or another form of proof, for example a document registering you as Disabled. Please contact us if you have any questions about providing information for this discount.

There are no additional charges, except if you choose to receive text alerts.

Reminder texts

Reminder texts are charged at 20p per text. You can choose not to accept the text alerts when you are registering for a RingGo account. You can amend the settings and switch off text alerts whenever you like. See Help with your permit - questions about reminder texts
