H&F will regularly communicate with residents to understand their lived experience of hate crime, and we will work in partnership with them to continually improve how we prevent and tackle hate crime.
The ASB Unit will ask for feedback at the closure of all hate crime cases and will monitor and respond to the level of satisfaction reported to us through these surveys.
We will continue to adapt our services so that we cater for all residents including those who are isolated, in single living or sheltered housing. The Sheltered Housing department will organise coffee mornings at sheltered housing schemes, have mobile reporting in high footfall areas, and hold estate days, so that our teams are visible, and residents know how they can share their concerns. We will also ensure partners who may engage more frequently with hard-to-reach group are well informed on the support the ASB service can provide.
We will also monitor council tenants' satisfaction with how we handle hate crime through our annual Tenant Satisfaction Measures survey, which is sent to a representative sample of all our council housing tenants every year.
The H&F Hate Crime Steering group will look to include residents that have lived experience of hate crime so that they can continue to feed into policy, action plans, procedure, and strategy updates. Further details on the steering group are provided on Working together across services and with partner agencies.
