Hammersmith & Fulham’s website was accessed more than 67,800 times by residents for information and guidance to help them through the cost-of-living crisis.
In addition to our cost-of-living webpages our Hammersmith-based operation provides free in-person, email and over the phone support.
In 2023, more than 3,900 residents were supported by Hammersmith & Fulham’s Cost-of-Living Team with advice and grants.
Our team handled more than 1,420 emails, received 12,000 calls, and issued nearly 2,000 fuel vouchers in its first year. We have invested millions supporting residents in the borough including free home care and free school meals.
Cllr Rebecca Harvey, H&F Cabinet Member for Social Inclusion and Community Safety, said:
Our Cost-of-Living Team is there for anyone who needs support, guidance or advice with pressures caused by the cost-of-living crisis.
“We know that households across the borough are struggling, and as a compassionate council we want to do all we can to help residents; there is lots of support out there including free grants, charities specialising in debt advice and our ‘Warm Welcomes’ scheme. We have produced a cost-of-living booklet with useful tips and information to help you. If you have any concerns, please get in touch. We are here to help.”
Life changing support
The work of H&F’s Cost-of-living Team has been welcomed by residents. Francesca contacted the team and found out she was eligible for an Argos gift card for a new washer dryer, through the Local Support Payment scheme.

Contact H&F’s Cost-of-Living Team
H&F’s Cost-of-Living Team is based at our offices at 145 King Street, Hammersmith.
They are on hand to provide free guidance and support with any cost-of-living concerns you may have.
The office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and has four public computers that are free for residents to use to browse the H&F website and other government webpages.
