You have certain rights about the information we hold about you - what we use the information for and how long we keep it. The Data Protection Act gives us duties as the holders of the information while giving you rights in relation to the data we hold.
We publish details of payments to senior officers, councillors and suppliers, and on contracts and meetings between councillors and developers.
You have the right to request information held by public authorities. This 'right to know', under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2005, allows you to access a range of recorded information held by the council, such as emails, minutes of meetings, research or reports. Information is also available on this website and through our publication scheme.
