Hammersmith & Fulham's list of award-winning parks is growing!
Now, 25 of our parks and green spaces have officially been crowned as some of the best in the country with a prestigious Green Flag award. Judges from Keep Britain Tidy assessed the 25 open spaces against their strict criteria – checking the management of the sites, their biodiversity, heritage and safety.
The four sites added to our growing list are:
- Eelbrook Common, Fulham, SW6 4PT
- Marcus Garvey Park, Hammersmith, W14 8SZ
- St Paul's Church and Open Space, Hammersmith, W6 9PJ
- Vicarage Gardens, Fulham, SW6 3LA
Cllr Florian Chevoppe-Verdier, H&F Cabinet Member for Public Realm, said:
H&F is home to some of the best and most cherished green spaces in London and we know they're loved by our residents, visitors and the local wildlife. One of my personal favourites is Margravine Cemetery which retained its flag this year.
It's fantastic that the hard work of our Parks team, Friends groups and individual volunteers, and maintenance contractors idverde has been recognised across so many of our sites. Safeguarding and enhancing these spaces to make sure they're the very best they can be is just one of the ways we're making H&F stronger, safer and kinder."

Investing in our parks
Over the last four years, H&F Council has invested more than £3.5million across the borough's 55 parks and open green spaces.
And between 2025 and 2027, H&F will be investing a further £1.1million. This funding will focus on improving all aspects of our parks, including new planting and updated footpaths, lighting, bins and signage.
Want to help us make H&F's parks even better?
Get involved as a volunteer on our Parks Forum. Register your interest by midnight on Sunday 10 August 2025.
We're looking for up to five new volunteers who live or work in H&F to help us improve the borough's green spaces. Creating a new Parks Forum is a recommendation we adopted from our 2020 Residents' Commission for Parks and Open Spaces.
