Hammersmith & Fulham Council is looking for up to five new volunteers who live or work in H&F to join our Parks Forum.
You can help represent the people who use them, as well as help our Parks Team continue to improve them.
Cllr Florian Chevoppe-Verdier, H&F Cabinet Member for Public Realm, said:
By joining forces with passionate volunteers who care deeply about our green spaces, we can transform our parks into vibrant and inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome and connected to nature.
This is just one of the many ways we're making H&F an even better place to live, work and socialise."
Creating a new Parks Forum is a recommendation that we adopted from our 2020 Residents' Commission for Parks and Open Spaces. We aim to have 12 members on the forum.

Expectations and commitments
The minimum term for volunteer members is two years. You will be expected to attend monthly meetings 6pm-8pm alternating between central Hammersmith and virtually on Microsoft Teams. In addition to this, participation in working groups and attendance to park walks and site visits is expected.
You must be willing to declare any registered interests upon appointment.
Michael Pritchett, Chair of the Parks Forum, said:
The forum is there to provide valuable scrutiny and advice on everything from accessible play equipment to biodiversity. We're now looking to broaden our range of experience even further, and I'm excited to welcome new voices who share a passion for our parks and the role they play in community life."

Sow your skills
Whether you are a part of a local Friends Group for a park or simply enjoy a Sunday stroll across your local green, we want to hear from you.
We welcome applicants who are keen to help shape a positive future for all our parks, not just preserve the status quo.
The forum advises on borough-wide park plans and policies, supports public engagement in park decisions, and helps ensure local voices contribute constructively to long-term improvements.
We want people who can bring their unique experiences to the forum, you don't need to represent a specific organisation. Useful skills might include equality and inclusion, communications, horticulture, finance, sport, the environment or entrepreneurship.
We're particularly keen to hear from those with knowledge of play equipment, inclusive design, park-based events, experience in operating facilities like cafés or courts, or a track record of fostering local volunteering. To ensure balance across the forum we encourage applications from young people, Disabled people and people who live and use the parks in the south of the borough.
Nominated volunteers will be selected by a panel to provide a representative and balanced forum. The panel will consist of Simon Ingyon (Head of Parks and Open Spaces at H&F), Michael Pritchett (Park Forum Chair), Joanna Allen (Vice Chair) and Vanessa Hampton (Vice Chair).
Register your interest and tell us about yourself and why you want to become a Parks Forum volunteer in no more than 500 words by midnight on Sunday 10 August 2025.
We welcome interest from all park users, Friend Groups and stakeholders, please also let us know which park Friends Group or organisation you are a part of, if applicable.
