UPG Masbro children's centres

The Urban Partnership Group (UPG) was established in 1997 to improve the health, wealth, and wellbeing of residents in the borough.

Over the years UPG has grown from strength to strength, and now operates services and activities from 5 Masbro children’s centres in the borough:

  • Masbro Children’s Centre, West Kensington
  • Masbro Brook Green Family Centre
  • Shepherd’s Bush Families Project and Children’s Centre
  • Edward Woods Community Centre, Shepherd’s Bush
  • Flora Garden’s Children’s Centre, Hammersmith

What do the centres provide?

These centres offer a range of fun and engaging sessions and activities for children under 5, to support their learning and development, in a safe and supportive environment.

They are developed around the Early Years Foundation Curriculum and follow the children’s interests.

This provides a strong foundation for the early years’ experience, whilst maximising opportunities for children to play, learn and grow.

What sessions and activities take place?

  • arts and crafts
  • outdoor play
  • play and learn
  • rising 3s, to prepare children for nursery
  • Rose voucher cooking group, to support healthy eating
  • sensory play
  • songs and rhymes
  • targeted ‘talk and learn’ sessions, for advice and support from a speech and language therapist.
