Filming

We fully support production companies who wish to film in Hammersmith & Fulham. However, you need to apply for permission first.

Our film location officer, Bernadette Bernard is on hand to lead you through the process. With her considerable local knowledge and technical expertise she can help find you the best locations and keep your shoot running smoothly.

Fees and notice

We charge fees to process filming applications. This is to cover our administration costs. You can pay by credit or debit card (except Amex).

  • we require a minimum of seven working days to process a standard application.
  • a minimum of ten to 20 working days is required for large shoot applications.
  • the cost of officer admin is £80 per hour.
  • late applications are accepted and processed at the film officer's discretion. A late application fee of £80 will be charged.

Film London – code of practice

We expect all filmmakers shooting in the borough to follow the Film London's code of practice.

Students

Students who wish to film in Hammersmith and Fulham locations need to send the following:

  1. a letter from the college confirming they are students.
  2. a completed application to film form.
  3. at least £5 million public liability insurance from the college.
  4. contact details of the tutor who will sign the film licence on behalf of the student.

If possible the location fee will be waived. However, any staff time at the location will have to be paid for.

If you are unhappy with the way a film crew is working please contact the film office on 020 8753 2351 or 07779 348 122 immediately and we will investigate the problem. If filming has already taken place and you would like to make a complaint in writing please email filmoffice@lbhf.gov.uk and we will investigate the matter.
