More than 1,000 local young people have received cycle training from our expert tutors over the past year.
Run in collaboration with Bikeworks and funded by H&F, we've now taught young people across nine local secondary school. It's the biggest programme of its kind anywhere in the country.
The schools include Ark Burlington Danes, Phoenix Academy, Cambridge School, Queensmill (Fulham College), Fulham Cross Academy, Burlington House, Hurlingham Academy, Hammersmith Academy and The Fulham Boys' Academy.

The latest to get on their bikes were young people from Fulham Boys School. The Fulham Road pupils received free cycling and bike maintenance sessions, including bikes, helmets and locks to use.

Meanwhile, H&F is also continuing its cycling training for local primary school pupils.
It’s all part of our work to give local families and young people the skills to cycle more safely and confidently on our roads.
“Many of our Year 7 students will turn 18 in 2030 – the year we want to reach carbon net zero carbon in the borough,” said Cllr Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Ecology.
“By making active travel part of their everyday lives, we can help them make better and greener travel choices – and reduce emissions along the way.”

Between our weekly Dr. Bike sessions, new bike donations scheme and growing cycle lane network, there’s never been a better time to take up cycling in H&F.
Boost your skills and confidence with our free cycle training sessions.
Learners and families can take part in group sessions at Ravenscourt Park (Tuesdays), Edward Woods Community Centre (Wednesdays), Bishops Park (Fridays) and either Normand Park or Ravenscourt Park (Saturdays).
Individual cycle training sessions can be booked – for free – via our partners at Cycle Confident. All ages and abilities welcome.
