Remembrance Sunday is our chance to salute the service and sacrifice of our armed forces.
Remembrance Sunday services and parades will be held in Fulham and Shepherds Bush on Sunday 9 November 2025.
Everyone is invited to join dignitaries from Hammersmith & Fulham Council, and the community, as we pay our respects.
The services mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, at the end of the First World War, when the guns of Europe fell silent. The ceremonies mark the sacrifices made in that conflict, in the Second World War, and in every conflict since.
Parade – Shepherds Bush War Memorial
A procession will begin at Sulgrave Road, off Shepherds Bush Road, at 10.25am before the open-air service at the war memorial on Shepherds Bush Green, which Cllr Sharon Holder, Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Youth Mayor, Albi Fenner, will attend.
The service will be conducted by Fr Richard Nesbitt of Our Lady of Fatima Church in White City and the Rev Cameron Collington of St Simon's Church in Shepherds Bush.
The parade in Shepherds Bush Road will feature local Army reservists and Army cadets, the Burma Star Association, faith leaders, Hammersmith Scout groups, Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade cadets, St John Ambulance and community groups.
Leading the parade will be piper Fergus Collington with Thames Fanfare Brass. The Last Post will sound at 11am. H&F's Mayor will take the salute outside The Grampians, on the east side of Shepherds Bush Road, before the parade is dismissed in Sulgrave Road.
Road closures will apply to Sulgrave Road, north-bound along Shepherds Bush Road, Shepherds Bush Green roundabout, and Uxbridge Road. There will be no vehicle access from Holland Park roundabout to Shepherds Bush Green. These will be in place until the parade is dismissed.
To ensure the parade runs smoothly, parking will not be allowed on the eastern side of Shepherds Bush Road between the junction with Shepherds Bush Green and Minford Gardens.
The restriction will be enforced from 5pm on Saturday 8 November until 12.30pm on Sunday 9 November.
Parade – Fulham War Memorial
The procession will begin at Parsons Green at 10.35am and will head along New Kings Road to the Fulham War Memorial open-air service in Vicarage Gardens, which the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Daryl Brown, and the Deputy Youth Mayor, Precisa Getsevich, will attend.
The service will be led by the Rev Peter Dobson of All Saints Church, Fulham.
The parade will include local Army reservists and cadets, military and ex-service groups, Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, St John Ambulance, local youth organisations and faith leaders, community groups and the Fulham Brass Band.
It will form up in Church Gate then head across Fulham High Street to Fulham House where the Deputy Mayor will take the salute before the parade is dismissed.
New Kings Road and its access roads will be closed until after the parade is dismissed.
To ensure the parade runs smoothly, parking will not be allowed along both sides of Church Gate, as well as along the eastern side of Fulham High Street between Station Approach and Ranelagh Gardens.
The restriction will be enforced from 5pm on Saturday 8 November until 12.30pm on Sunday 9 November.
Everyone welcome
Residents are welcome to take part in the services by going to either Shepherds Bush Green or Vicarage Gardens at All Saints Church before 11am.
Remembrance Sunday is an opportunity for the community to come together to collectively thank the uniformed forces for their service and sacrifice, or to place personal tributes of poppy wreathes, wooden crosses and remembrance sticks at the foot of the memorials.
