Local artists have taken over an empty shop in the Fulham Broadway shopping centre to showcase an array of striking artworks.

Open to everyone, the gallery features work from the Society of Fulham Artists and Potters (SoFAP).

The new exhibition is free to visit and open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 7pm from Thursday 25 September until Christmas 2025.

From beautiful watercolours, unusual ceramics and dazzling abstract art, the pop-up gallery is packed with unique artworks – all created locally.

"This pop-up gallery allows us to connect with the community in a fresh and accessible way, offering art lovers the chance to appreciate and acquire original pieces in a convenient setting," says Rowena Vaughan, chair of SoFAP.

The artworks will all be for sale at the gallery on the first floor of Fulham Broadway Shopping Centre in Fulham Road.

The pop-up is just one of the many regular events organised by SoFAP, which was founded in 1952.

Other upcoming exhibitions include a week-long celebration of original art at Fulham Library from Sunday 9 November – marking their 74th year of exhibiting.

If you're an artist yourself and want to connect with fellow art fanatics, you can join SoFAP for one of their monthly artistic outings. Just bring your medium of choice, be that watercolours, pencils or pastels, and a sketchbook. Next up, they'll be heading to Syon Park on Thursday 2 October.

They also host a variety of workshops throughout the year, from mixed media to gel plate printing to learn new techniques and put your skills to the test.
