Final weekend of Cadent Gas roadworks in Goldhawk Road

The disruption affecting buses and drivers is set to end early on Monday 22 September

Greenside Road closure for Cadent Gas works

Cadent Gas has told Hammersmith & Fulham Council that disruptive gas works to the double roundabout at Seven Stars Corner in Goldhawk Road will be cleared on Monday 22 September.

Originally these works were scheduled to finish on Sunday 7 September. The three-way traffic lights and diversions will remain in place throughout the extended period.

After the Goldhawk Road works are finished, Greenside Road will remain closed until Sunday 5 October for further works.

What's happening?

Cadent Gas is upgrading the pipes in the short stretch of Goldhawk Road between the Askew Road mini-roundabout and the end of the shop parade opposite the junction with Paddenswick Road, with traffic diversions put in place.

Three-way lights help manage traffic, the bus lane is shut, and four bus stops – ST, SH, SC and SX – are temporarily suspended. This affects the 94 and 237 buses, specifically.

H&F Council is closely monitoring the works. We are urging the gas company to complete the roadworks as quickly as possible, because there is likely to be a serious effect on traffic in the area.

"Thank you, in advance, for your patience while we complete these essential works to futureproof the gas network in Shepherds Bush," said a Cadent Gas spokesperson.
