Futsal win triggers celebrations in Hammersmith

London International Futsal Club crowned champions of national league

London International Futsal Club celebrate winning Tier 3 of the National Futsal League in Hereford

You can see what victory means to the players of the Hammersmith-based London International Futsal Club after they were crowned champions of their national league.

The team won Tier 3 of the National Futsal League, something club sporting director Juan Eden-Brown described as:

Not just a milestone for our team, but a proud moment for the community in Hammersmith & Fulham."

Futsal – a boisterous five-a-side, 40-minute indoor version of football characterised by tight passing and skilful ball control – really took off in the capital a decade ago.

After winning the T3 South League, LIFC faced Athletico City Birmingham (the North champions) in the national grand final, held at a neutral venue – The Point4 in Hereford.

They secured a decisive 5-2 victory to become the Tier 3 National Futsal League Champions.

As the club puts it: If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together!

To celebrate becoming champions, the club has unveiled a new logo.
