CommUNITY Day 2024 funfair ride

We're sorry but this event has been cancelled due to bad weather. To find more fun to fill your weekend, check out our What's On guide.

CommUNITY Day is back with free fun for the whole family – and you're invited!

Join us for live music, dance classes, pony rides, a funfair and food from around the world by Urban Food Fest. Come down to Ravenscourt Park on Saturday 19 July from 11am to 5pm to join the party.

Every year, we throw a CommUNITY Day party as our way of saying thanks to all the local people and groups that help make H&F a stronger, safer and kinder place to live.

H&F Mayor Cllr Sharon Holder said:

As someone who's called H&F home for nearly 60 years, CommUNITY Day captures what I love most about our borough – the incredible sense of community where people look after each other and celebrate together.

"It's our people, from all walks of life, who truly make H&F special. I hope you'll join us for this wonderful celebration of everything that makes our borough such an amazing place to live, work and grow up in."

Family fun

Up on the main stage, you can catch a performance from the New Generation Steel Orchestra, music from BIMM artists Delroy Joseph and Anna O'Hare, and dance classes by DanceWest – all hosted by drag queen Chanel No. 5.

There's also fun to be had with face painting, circus skills workshops, funfair rides, story time with expert storytellers and arts and crafts with JK Arts.

You can also check out our visiting fire engine for a chance to speak to local London Fire Brigade firefighters and sit behind the wheel.

Say hello

On the day, more than 30 local organisations and services will be on hand to speak to. They'll be there to help with anything you need or just general information about what's on offer locally. This is a great way to learn more about the fantastic services and groups doing great work in the borough.

Charities taking part include The Sulgrave Youth Club, Motion4Kids, Boom Sports, TimeGivers and Visiting Angels.

There's also the chance to speak to H&F Council about our services, including our fostering team, children's services, waste and recycling team, the Macbeth Centre for adult education and our employment and support service H&F Works.

Or bring along your slow or broken electronic devices and have them fixed for free by West Central London Fixers. Book your time slot here.
