Hammersmith & Fulham Council will fly the Grenfell flag for three nights on the eight-year anniversary of the devastating fire.

The flag is a mark of remembrance, compassion and solidarity on the anniversary of the tragedy which killed 72 and injured more than 70 people at the 24-storey Grenfell Tower in North Kensington.

Grenfell Tower will be illuminated in green from 7pm on Friday 13 June. There will be community-led commemorative events taking place on Saturday 14 June, including the Silent Walk which will start at 6.30pm outside the Notting Hill Methodist Church.

H&F support

After the fire in 2017, H&F Council supported more than 50 families in temporary accommodation in the borough.

Our housing and social care teams visited the families each week, making sure they had vouchers for hot meals, travelcards, and that they were receiving the support they needed.

We also welcomed The Kensington Aldridge Academy, formerly based at the foot of Grenfell Tower, as it relocated temporarily to a site next to Wormwood Scrubs.
