Photojournalism Hub is a familiar face in H&F's creative circles.
The artistic Community Interest Company (CIC), supported by H&F Council and Sobus, has no fixed address and instead meets organisations where they're based. Organisations they've collaborated with have included Nubian Life, William Morris Museum, The Invention Rooms and Riverside Studio.
We sat down with founder Cinzia to hear how the business is supporting local organisations, residents and communities.
Why did you base your business in Hammersmith & Fulham?
I have always loved H&F – it's where I want to be.
We started as a constituted group in November 2018 and became a CIC in April 2021. I'd eventually like to work with other locations, but I want H&F to continue as my headquarters.
Why did you start Photojournalism Hub?
I started Photojournalism Hub to empower individuals and communities through documentary photography.
I have a Master's degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography and have worked documenting the hardships of war in Kosovo and the plight of coal miners in Guangzhou, China. I've also collaborated with Amnesty International, Save the Children, Shelter and the Refugee Council in Germany.
At Photojournalism Hub we provide training to residents who don't have any prior experience in photography or journalism and offer those who do portfolio development. This includes the chance to feature in print publications and exhibitions.
Photojournalism Hub's latest exhibition is 'I Am Your Local…' – why should residents visit the exhibition?
Hammersmith & Fulham is home to a vibrant community, enriched by diverse cultures and lived experiences. 'I Am Your Local...' invites residents to connect with and learn from the stories of those who have made this borough their home.
By amplifying underrepresented voices within our borough, 'I Am Your Local...' encourages empathy, understanding, and meaningful dialogue around migration, identity, and social justice. It is both a celebration and an appreciation of the rich diversity that shapes and strengthens our community.
How can residents and organisations get involved with Photojournalism Hub?
We want to continue collaborating with local businesses. Last year we worked with the Askew Road Business Association, collecting interviews and photographs of local artists, for their festival. Please contact us if you'd like to work with us.

I would recommend coming to our IN FOCUS events at Riverside Studios. Our next event is on the 23 June at 7.17pm.
We also offer great benefits to members of the Photojournalism Hub. Membership is as little as £3 per month. Or come along to one of our workshops. These have led our participants to enter further education, internships and even employment.
And later this year we're planning an exhibition marking five years since the Covid pandemic. It'll feature work from around the world, collected during the pandemic. If you're interested in being involved or would like to sponsor the event, please contact us.
