You're invited to try more than 25 free taster sessions at our Macbeth Centre in Hammersmith.
Our summer open day on Saturday 12 July is your chance to sample one of our 450 courses, before enrolling in September.
Our curriculum is designed to give residents the skills and training they need to help us build a stronger, safer and kinder borough.
The day is packed with free, fun taster sessions – right off King Street in Hammersmith. From 10am to 3pm, you can try workshops in languages, art, fitness and more.
The Macbeth Centre first opened its doors as Waterloo Street School in 1875. Help us mark the 150th anniversary of education by continuing this legacy of learning. Read more about the Macbeth Centre's history.
Your guide to the open day
Language enthusiasts can sample sessions in Italian, Chinese Mandarin, French, Spanish, Arabic, German or British Sign Language, while creatives can try their hand at photography, pottery, creative writing or stained glass.
Our stained glass tutor, Tim Cunliffe, explained: "You'll learn the basics – I'll demonstrate some glass cutting and glass painting then people can have a bit of a go. We normally do a technique called copper foiling to join pieces of glass."
"I'd definitely encourage people to come join the open day," added Tim, who's taught at the Macbeth Centre for 20 years.
Whether you're keen to cook up some delicious Middle Eastern dishes or want to get moving in chair aerobics or gentle keep fit, there's something for everyone at our open day.
You can even speak to our expert tutors about our qualification courses in computers, English and Maths, childcare as well as health and social care. We're offering enrolment interviews on the day.
