Head to Parsons Green for an action-packed day of free family fun on Saturday 5 July

A bubble-ologist will be part of the fun at Parsons Green Fair

Get into the summer swing as Parsons Green Fair returns with an array of live performances, free family activities and delicious street food.

A fun fair, donkey rides, animal petting farm and magicians will keep all the family entertained at the annual summer event on Saturday 5 July on Parsons Green in Fulham.

The buzzing fun day – being held from 11am to 5.30pm – will also include a bubble-ologist, food, drinks and more than 100 stalls packed with clothes, jewellery, toys, edible treats, and gifts.

Live music

In a celebration of local community talent, the fair's live stage will showcase performances from 12 acts throughout the day.

Musicians from the London Youth Conservatoire – based at Lady Margaret School – and The Rhythm Studio, are set to entertain the crowds along with groups including Stagecoach Theatre Arts Fulham, dancers from the Moone School of Ballet and an Irish dancing troupe from Thomas's Academy.

Launched three decades ago to support local charity Fulham Good Neighbours, the Parsons Green Fair is packed with free family fun, including face painting, buckeroo, Punch and Judy shows and balloon modelling.

Nicky Sansom, event organiser and trustee at Fulham Good Neighbours, explained:

Parsons Green Fair has been running for 30 years and is a wonderful and much-loved community event for families and all residents in the area.

"Stalls to buy a fantastic array of goods, games, shows, a small animal zoo and donkey rides for children are just some of the attractions, along with the stage for children from local dance and drama groups to showcase their work. Parsons Green Fair is not to be missed."

Charity appeal

All profits from the event are donated to Fulham Good Neighbours, a local charity supporting older and disabled people in Fulham since 1966.

"The fair raises in excess of £20,000 for Fulham Good Neighbours so join us for a day to remember, and help us build a stronger, kinder Fulham," added Nicky.

"Whether you're looking to support local makers, enjoy a picnic with loved ones, or get involved with community causes, the Parsons Green Fair offers something for everyone."

The charity offers free gardening, decorating and DIY services with the support of 100 local volunteers, who work on projects including befriending, digital inclusion and a Good Neighbour Scheme.

The charity's community centre on Rosaline Road also hosts social club activities six days a week including art, chair-based exercise, choir, craft, digital drop-in, reading, lunch, and Sunday tea.
