Hammersmith & Fulham is once again marking Armed Forces Day with our annual family fun day.
It's one of the ways we're working with local historians and residents to celebrate our unique military history. Helping to make H&F the best London borough to live, work and visit.
Taking place in St Paul's Gardens, Hammersmith, 12noon to 5pm, the free day will include an assault course, army field displays, live music and more.
Cllr Patrick Walsh, H&F's representative for the armed forces community, said:
Please join us in celebrating and recognising H&F's military history and the incredible residents who make up our military community. Their hard work protects our freedom and way of life, and makes H&F a stronger, safer and kinder borough."
Big guest list
Residents will be joined by our army Reserves, 17 Company Coldstream Guards, local cadet groups and 10th Fulham Scout troop.
There'll also be a chance to learn about the borough's military past from archive displays. Including the history of St Paul's Gardens and the park's role in D-Day.
Up on stage, performances will include songs from vintage style singer Bunny Nightingale and music from The Military Marching Band.

Boots on the ground
For those looking to get stuck in, pop by our camo face painting stall or dress up tent. Or take a seat in an armoured vehicle before testing your strength on our assault course.
Experts will also be leading weapons and army field displays. And tasty bites will be available from food trucks.
If you know an armed forces unit that wants to join us on the day, please email: events@lbhf.gov.uk
Supporting H&F's military communities
H&F has a rich military history, and we have pledged support to our local veterans and military community.
This includes cutting council tax for veterans by 25 per cent, helping members of our Armed Forces community access affordable housing and adapting homes for wounded soldiers. We also signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant and are committed to ensuring those who serve or have severed, and their families, are treated fairly.
