Catch the new seafood restaurant in Hammersmith Broadway

Faber is hoping to make a splash and roll out across London if successful.

A new restaurant specialising in British seafood and cocktails has opened in the heart of Hammersmith – with deals for residents who use a secret code phrase.

Faber has taken over the former Villagio pizzeria opposite the tube station, next to Sacred Heart High School. And if the concept takes off, founder Anthony Pender aims to roll it out across London.

Faber’s roots are in east London, but when the former Italian restaurant became available it was snapped up.

“We found the site in Hammersmith Road and knew it was for us,” said Anthony.

“It’s a stunning light space, right in the middle of a vibrant area and we’ve had fantastic feedback from customers. We couldn’t be happier to call Hammersmith home.”

Faber opens each day at midday, with the changing menu reflecting ethically sourced seasonal catches from around the British coastline.

Faber is at 206 Hammersmith Road, W6 7DH. Call 020 8161 9800.

Offers

As an introductory offer to H&F residents, anyone quoting the phrase “I Love Hammersmith” to the serving team, Monday to Thursday, will get a 15 per cent discount off the bill.

It is offering workers’ lunches at £20, Monday to Friday, noon to 3pm, including wine, beer or a soft drink, as well as a two-for-one cocktail deal at £14. Oysters are the daily house special at £2 each.

Local workers will also be able to take advantage of the two-for-one cocktail deal all day, rather than just the official Monday to Friday, 4pm to 6pm hours.
