Expect major disruption to the District and Piccadilly tube lines this weekend for engineering work.

From 9pm on Friday (15 September) until Sunday night there will be no District Line trains between Earls Court and Richmond, and Earls Court and Ealing Broadway, suspending the route through West Ken, Barons Court, Hammersmith, Ravenscourt Park, Stamford Brook, Turnham Green and all stops to Ealing and Richmond.

Services will be back to normal on Monday morning.

Track work to improve reliability is also closing the Piccadilly Line from Hyde Park Corner to Northfields and Uxbridge from Friday to Monday morning, so no services will run through Earls Court, Barons Court, Hammersmith and Turnham Green.

There will be bus replacements between Acton Town and central London, but you will need to allow plenty of time.

Fulham fans

Fulham play Luton Town at Craven Cottage on Saturday (16 September) at 3pm. However, trains on the Earls Court to Wimbledon branch of the District line, used by many fans, are not affected by the part-suspension.

Transport for London (TfL) says the service disruption is for track repairs and drainage improvement. Full details of the rail replacement services at visit the TfL status updates webpage.

If you’re heading to Heathrow, you’re advised to use the Elizabeth line instead.
