To hear the New Jersey-based bluesman, head down to the Parsons Green Sports & Social Club on Saturday 23 September. Doors at 7pm – concert starts at 8pm. Tickets £12 online or on the door.

Blending the styles of blues, ragtime, country, bluegrass, old-time jazz and rock, Walker has developed his own style on acoustic guitar. He’s received numerous awards and the Long Island-born musician has also been inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame.

Known for including some amusing songs and great stories along the way, the fingerstyle guitar virtuoso and songwriter is known for keeping crowds guessing. “Not only can Toby play all styles of the blues, but he's a remarkable storyteller as well,” said John Sheridan of The Sunday Times newspaper.

It could be an Irish fiddle tune medley (on guitar), a couple of rousing singalongs or even a traditional bluegrass tune.
