Hammersmith & Fulham will be celebrating our armed forces community with an afternoon of free family fun on Saturday 24 June.

The Armed Forces Day event will mark the 70th anniversary of the Korean Armistice and is being held at St Paul’s Garden, Hammersmith W14, from 1pm to 5pm. Everyone is welcome.

The day is being sponsored by Tates and Olympia London.

H&F’s military past and present

Local cadet groups, Korean veterans, The Royal British Legion, and Number 17 Company, H&F’s Reserve Company of the Coldstream Guards, will be joining the celebrations and providing a glimpse into military life.

They will be running free activities including a field kitchen, medic bay and weapons display.

There will also be live music, with performances from 1940s themed singer Bunny Nightingale and a military band, speeches about H&F’s historical links to armed conflict, Korean folk dancing and singing, and Korean food.

If you’re interested in military history, don’t forget to speak to our specialist historians, archivists, and members of the Korean Association who will be there on the day.
