Your Big Coronation Weekend in H&F round-up is here! Thousands of you joined us to celebrate – thank you very much.

You can see all the snaps from our events in King Street, Bishops Park and Ravenscourt Park here on Flickr.

The Coronation was the first in almost 70 years, and the first to take place after the reign of Queen Elizabeth II who was the United Kingdom’s longest ruling monarch.

To celebrate the historic occasion, King Charles III granted a Bank Holiday on Monday (8 May) and asked people to take part in The Big Help Out. Residents from across the borough got involved, including the Friends of Bishops Park who bagged duck food and held a litter pick. Meanwhile, more than 50 roads got into the Coronation spirit and held a street party. We photographed as many of your celebrations as we could. You can find all these photos here on Flickr

And to help mark this once-in-a-generation occasion we launched the King Charles III Coronation Youth Fund, a unique £1million fund to support young people in the arts, drama, music and sport.

Want to hold a street party in your road this summer? Just fill in our easy application form here. Or, you can host a Play Street to give children the chance to play freely and safely, within a short distance of their home. Details and how to apply here.

Coronation weekend events

On Saturday (6 May), we held the King Street Coronation Party which featured more than 100 stalls selling everything from art to handmade hats, natural beauty products, baked goods, fresh honey and more.

And the wet weather didn’t stop the fun. We had live music and Morris dancers, street entertainers including Queen Victoria and the cavalry, and the Coronation ceremony live on a big screen in Lyric Square.

On Sunday (7 May), we hosted our Big Coronation Lunches in Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith, and Bishops Park, Fulham.

There was food on offer from Urban Food Fest and hours of family fun.

For our younger Coronation fans, there were pony rides, drone flying lessons, free sports sessions with QPR Football Club and Fulham Football Club, crown making, face paint and bubble displays.

The Coronation Concert was also shown on big screens in both parks.
