We’re looking for local volunteers in Hammersmith & Fulham. Could this be you?
We need local residents – particularly from Black, Asian, and multi-ethnic minority groups – to assist our Community Connect Volunteer Service as we support local residents in need of help.
This help includes personal shopping, dog walking, picking up prescriptions or even helping residents who have been discharged from hospital.
We currently have a bank of 118 fantastic and dedicated volunteers – but we need more. Can you help?
Please let us know if you can help us support local residents in need with such tasks as:
- personal shopping
- dog walking
- prescription pick-ups
- befriending
- supporting residents discharged from hospital
- community engagement projects.
We will provide the relevant training to support you in the role and as a thank you for giving up your time, we will give you a shopping voucher worth £100 (if you volunteer on a regular basis in excess of 36 hours).

The Community Aid Network Volunteer Service was launched by Hammersmith & Fulham Council in 2020 to support residents in need during the Covid pandemic and has been rebranded as the ‘Community Connect Volunteer Service’.
