Items for recycling being collected

We want to recycle even more of your waste than ever before this festive season – including your Christmas trees.

You would be surprised how many items from this Christmas can be recycled, rather than tossed in the bin.

Find out below when your weekly recycling and rubbish collections are during the New Year period so you can help us maximise our festive recycling.

New Year’s Day collection will be on Saturday 2 January. All collection days will be back to normal by Monday 4 January.

Christmas tree recycling

If you normally get an on-street rubbish collection, simply leave your tree where you would leave your rubbish.

Please make sure:

  • it is a REAL tree
  • it is clearly visible
  • it is not obstructing the pavement
  • all decorations and pots are removed.

Please put your tree out for collection before 7am on your regular collection day between Monday 4 January and Sunday 17 January
