Hammersmith & Fulham Council has successfully secured £1.25m of funding to help make Fulham’s North End Road a more thriving, sustainable and welcoming high street and market.

It forms part of the work we’re doing in our community-led redesign of North End Road.

We came up with a list of potential projects after listening and speaking with local people including shopkeepers, market traders, community representatives and local community groups last year. Check out the projects here.

Since then, the Covid-19 pandemic has changed many people’s priorities. We now want to make sure these improvements are still the right ones that local people want and need on the street before we use the new funding.

The survey closes on Monday 4 January 2021.

“We’re delighted to have secured this further funding for North End Road,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for the Economy.

“In light of Covid, we’re now confirming with residents, traders and businesses our next steps to make our historic high street a place for generations to enjoy and benefit from for many years to come.”

Hammersmith & Fulham Council has secured the £1.25m of funding from the Mayor of London’s Business Low Emissions Neighbourhood (BLEN) scheme and Good Growth Fund (GGF).

One of the first projects to come to life from our community-led redesign was the new market-inspired colourful crossing.
