North End Road to close for four weeks to tackle flooding hotspot

Following concerns raise by local residents, H&F Council will begin repair works in North End Road this weekend.

Following concerns raise by local residents, Hammersmith & Fulham Council will begin repair works in North End Road this weekend to prevent localised flooding.

The road will need to be closed from Lillie Road to Sedlescombe Road, from Sunday 1 October with the work scheduled to last for four weeks.

“We’re doing this work because residents have told us they’re concerned about how this stretch of road floods following heavy rain,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Environment, Transport and Residents’ Services.

“We know this will inconvenience some residents so we’ll aim to get the work finished as quickly as possible.”

Local businesses and residents have been sent letters to tell them about the repairs and signs have been placed on local roads.

The works will run from 8am to 6pm on weekdays and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Diversions

Traffic will be diverted via Lillie Road, Munster Road and Dawes Road.

The following bus services will be on diversion during the works: 28, 391, N28.
