Fulham Palace will host some of the half-term activities
Budding Jamie Olivers can get creative in the classroom as well as the kitchen through a range of half-term activities.
The family learning activities from Hammersmith & Fulham Council also give children the chance to be inspired by stories and learn about history through dressing up.
At Fulham Palace, in Bishops Avenue, Fulham, on Wednesday, February 18, four half-hour story-telling sessions will run at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.15pm and 2pm, for children aged one and above.
Two seasonally themed two-hour arts and crafts sessions, ‘Get into Spring’ and ‘Waking up from Winter’ are available for children aged three and older and will take place at 10am and be repeated at 1pm.
Those kids looking for more interaction, can try on costumes from different periods in the palace’s history, including Tudor outfits, also on February 18, from 1pm until 3pm.
At the Macbeth Centre, Macbeth Street, Hammersmith, family cookery classes for children four and over will run on Thursday, February 19, at 10am and 1pm.
With the same Spring and Winter themed arts and crafts classes for over-threes running from 10am until 12noon and repeated at 1pm.
There is no need to book any of the activities, families should just turn up. Each family will receive a free drawstring bag.
