SPINE Festival Lite 2024

Regular events and activities

Baby massage

Hammersmith Library, Mondays between 1pm – 2pm for babies aged between 8 weeks to 8 months. If you are interested in signing up, please contact the Children’s Centre on 020 8753 6070, option 2 to book a place.

Baby yoga

Hammersmith Library, Wednesdays between 12.15pm – 1pm for families with babies up to 9 months of age. If you are interested in signing up, please contact OM:POP on 020 8753 6070.

Chatterbooks (children's book club)

Shepherds Bush library, Fortnightly, Wednesday 4pm to 5pm. Suitable for 6 to 11-year-olds. (Term time only).

Chess Club

Hammersmith library, Wednesday 5:30pm to 6:45pm for adults and children.

Fulham Library, Tuesday 4pm to 6pm for adults and children.

Coding Club

Learn how to program using Code.org, Python and Minecraft with Stefan. (You must bring your own laptop to be able to use Minecraft and Python.)

This club is suitable for children aged 7+ and is limited to 10 spaces.

Fulham library, Sunday 11am to 12pm (term time only). Registration must be made in advance either by emailing fulhamlibrary@lbhf.gov.uk, at the customer service desk or by phone on 020 8753 3877.

Craft Club (children's)

Fulham library, Wednesday 4pm to 5pm (suitable for ages 5-11). Term time only. No booking required.

Creative Writing (children's)

Shepherds Bush library, Saturdays 3:45pm to 4:45pm. Suitable for 6 to 11-year-olds (term time only).

Creative Writing Group

Fulham Library - Last Saturday of the month 11 to 12pm. Free to join, suitable for adults 18+. Please contact Layla at layla.lit.11@gmail.com with any questions.

Crochet Club (children's)

Fulham library, Mondays 4pm to 5pm. All materials are supplied, no booking required. Thursdays 5pm to 6pm. Suitable for intermediate. Both sessions are suitable for ages 6-12. All materials are supplied, no booking required. Term time only.

English Conversation Groups

Askew Road library, Wednesdays 11am to 12pm. Suitable for adults.

Hammersmith Library, Wednesday 5:30pm to 6.:0pm. Suitable for adults. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Homework help

Askew Road library, Friday 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Maths homework help. Suitable for primary school children.

Fulham library, Wednesday 5:30pm to 6:30pm (term time only), ages 5-11 yrs.

Hammersmith library, Monday to Thursday 4:30pm to 5:30pm, Fridays 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

IT help sessions

These sessions need to be booked in advance and can provide basic one-to-one IT help.

Askew Road library (30-minute sessions), Monday and Wednesday 2:30pm and 3pm. Please book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3863.

Hammersmith library (60-minute sessions), Wednesday 11am to 12 noon and 2pm to 3pm, Thursday 2pm to 3pm and 3pm to 4pm. Please book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3820.

Shepherds Bush Library (30-minute sessions), Wednesday 2pm to 3pm. Book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3842.

Knitting Club

Askew Road library, Monday 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

Fulham library, alternate Saturdays 10am to 12 noon.

Hammersmith library, Friday 2pm to 3:30pm.

Law Enforcement Team surgeries

The Law Enforcement Team are running surgeries in our libraries. Residents can raise problems or seek advice, particularly about antisocial behaviour, street cleansing or any other local issues. 

The surgeries run from 2pm to 4pm at the following libraries:

  • Shepherds Bush Library – 1st Monday of the month
  • Hammersmith Library – 2nd Monday of the month
  • Fulham Library – 3rd Monday of the month.

Lego Club

Fulham library, Saturday 2pm to 4pm.

Shepherds Bush library, Saturday 11am to 12 noon. 

Suitable for all children (under 3s must be supervised).

Music sessions

Shepherds Bush library, Thursday 1:30pm to 2:15pm. Suitable for babies to 5-year-olds (term time only). Book at Shepherds Bush library's customer service desk.

Origami Club

Alice’s Origami Club at Hammersmith library, Thursday 3:30pm to 4:30pm for adults and children.

Reading groups

Askew Road library reading group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Please enquire at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3863.

Fulham library, Read, Relax and Connect reading group meets on Thursdays from 11am to 12 noon. For more information email info@thereader.org.uk or enquire at the library. Drop in session - enjoy listening to a story or poem, no pressure to talk or read.
