Sounds like Hammersmith & Fulham is a project funded by the Cultural Impact Award as part of the Mayor of London’s London Borough of Culture programme.
Phase one of the project, delivered in partnership with the Tri-borough Music Hub, focused on 14–18-year-olds and included the Big Gig Take 1. The first phase is culminating in the production and release of the Big Gig Take 2, a documentary film looking back at the past year of the project. This film will be released in December 2022.
Phase two of the project, created in partnership with HQI and focused on 18–25-year-olds, has just begun.
There’s plenty of Sounds like H&F fun on the way, with an extensive programme of free workshops and talks open to all.
Sessions include opportunities to learn creative DIY techniques, through to hoq to build a visual identity, emotional wellbeing within the creative industires and a look into the future of technology’s role in music.

Phase two is also offering the chance for 15 residents aged 18-25 to take part in a 10-month artist development opportunity, led by professionals and focused on supporting intermediate musicians in reaching the next level and developing their music career.
This applicant only course includes workshops and talks focused on pioneers of the production industry, lessons on composition and mixing, support creating visual identity within a creative project, as well as music video production sessions to name a few.
The artist development opportunity will also task all applicants with creating a final project, funded through a £1,000 grant, that demonstrates the lessons learnt from the programme.
