Sounds like Hammersmith & Fulham

It’s showtime in Hammersmith & Fulham after the borough won the ‘Cultural Impact’ prize at the prestigious London Borough of Culture awards last year.

The £200,000 award from the Mayor of London’s office is being used to kickstart a new 10-year arts programme to develop the next generation of stars from our talented pool of local young musicians. But that’s not all, it will also provide more opportunities for all residents, regardless of their background, to get involved in the arts.

The ‘Sounds like Hammersmith & Fulham’ programme will build on the borough’s already booming arts and culture scene thanks to the success of our Arts Strategy (pdf 627KB) and Industrial Strategy (pdf 2.6MB) as H&F fast becomes the best place to live, work and play in Europe.

It will feature live music concerts including an exciting gig produced and performed by local young people as the programme helps us transform the borough into a thriving launchpad for future music stars.

We will be working alongside the Tri-Borough Music Hub and the HQI Foundation to turn H&F into an international beacon for the arts.

Want to get involved?

Are you aged between 14-25? Join the Sounds like Hammersmith & Fulham’s Young Music Producers Board.

It's completely free to get involved. You will have the chance to learn new skills and be part of a team that creates the first live gig celebrating contemporary music for young people across Hammersmith & Fulham.

You will need to be able to attend monthly meetings online held on Thursdays from 4.30pm to 5.30pm (October through to July). There will be approximately 10 meetings.
