A warm welcome back to all children, young people, staff and parents returning to our local primary and secondary schools.

And an especially bigger welcome to everyone who is new to an H&F school as a pupil or teacher!

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful summer and return ready to start an exciting new school year.

Our schools and the educational outcomes they offer pupils are some of the best in the country. This was shown once again by the recent impressive GCSE and A-Level exam results which demonstrate that living and learning in H&F is a great start in life.

We’re determined to make the borough the best place to live, work, study and socialise for all ages. That’s why we have plans to modernise facilities as part of our Community Schools programme to give our children the best start.

To help you plan for the school year and beyond, we’ve updated our handy online calendar for school term dates and holidays.

I wish everyone the best of luck and look forward to visiting your school soon.

Cllr Alex Sanderson
H&F Cabinet Member for Children and Education
