Here at Hammersmith & Fulham, we’re working to ensure all residents live in comfortable, safe and warm homes.
We’re delivering multiple energy initiatives including our successful Solar Together scheme, which allows residents to join a group-buying scheme for solar panels.
Now, H&F Council have partnered with Parity Projects and their Ecofurb service to provide 100 free Ecofurb Plans to H&F homeowners and landlords. These plans will help residents make their homes more sustainable and cheaper to run.
“Making sure our homes are energy efficient can be challenging,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Environment.
“So, we’re working to support residents to not only cut carbon emission, but also help save money on their energy bills. This is key to ensuring we continue to build shared prosperity in H&F and take pride in where we live.”
Approximately 40 per cent of our carbon emissions come from heating our homes. The Ecofurb Plans will also help residents cut carbon emissions and be more energy efficient.
The plans will be given on a first come, first served basis pending approval of your application.
What is an Ecofurb plan?
Knowing where to start with refurbishing your home can be difficult. Ecofurb is a one-stop shop for all your retrofit needs.
Your Ecofurb Plan service will include a home survey by a retrofit co-ordinator and a follow up call to answer all your questions.
Your retrofit co-ordinator will help you identify compatible energy efficiency improvements for your home. All findings and recommendations for your home will come in an easy-to-understand booklet.
The plan will provide insights on:
- potential financial savings on your energy bill
- how much you can reduce your carbon emissions
- the likely costs of the installation of suggested energy efficiency measures.
After receiving your plan, you have the option to engage Ecofurb to receive impartial advice and source quotations from a network of reliable installers. Or you can seek your own installers directly.
