If you have any unwanted items taking up room in your home, or baby items that your children have grown out of, then why not bring them along to the council’s SWAP event at the Lyric theatre on Thursday 6 June.
Clothes swap, and more!
An evening on sustainable fashion and textile waste, sharing knowledge, ideas and clothes.
Lyric theatre, Hammersmith, Thursday 6 June at 7pm
Come along – swap some clothes and learn about how to make sustainable fashion choices.
What can you expect?
Arrive for 7pm and exchange 1-5 items of unwanted but good quality clothing for tokens. Alternatively, bring along some clothes you need help mending.
Experts on sustainable fashion and textile waste from TRAID, H&M and local businesses will lead a discussion on sustainable fashion. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
After the talk, use your tokens to visit the swap shop, mend your broken clothes, enjoy some refreshments and chat with other attendees.
Take home and enjoy your new clothes!
This event is free and includes post-event refreshments but you must bring unwanted clothing to exchange in our swap shop.
There is limited availability so we are asking people to sign up. Book a place at the event.
The event is part of the council’s drive to reduce household waste, increase reuse and recycling rates and help to keep the borough clean and green.
