Wormholt Park will come alive on Saturday 6 September, from 12noon to 6pm, as the W12 Together Health & Wellbeing Festival returns for another joyful day of community, culture and connection.
There'll be live performances, pony rides, massages, goodies bags, fairground rides, health information and so much more. Most of which will be completely free.
Jenny Chigwende, Chair and Health Lead at W12 Together, explained:
We take a holistic approach to health and wellbeing in W12. Listening to what the community needs is at the heart of what we do. Wellbeing can mean anything from taking care of your mental health to having a day free of stress about money. That's why, if we raise enough money, we would also like to offer free meals at the festival for those that need it. You can just come up to us and ask for a token, no questions asked."
"W12 Together has shown me the amazing generosity of people in community. We're hoping to raise £37,000 on Spacehive and already we're over halfway there. Any support from local people or businesses to help us reach our target would be truly appreciated. All donations will help us put on the most inclusive event for all," Jenny added.

Volunteer your time
Can't donate? No problem. The team is looking for volunteers for the festival. Even just one hour of your time could make a big difference – sign up to volunteer now.
Who are W12 Together?
W12 Together are a group of passionate and committed residents who want to make the area an even better place to live.
W12 has a vision to empower all residents of Wormholt and White City, including young people, people with English as a second language, people living in poverty and people living in isolation.
"At first, we were providing hot, delicious Caribbean and Somali meals delivered to residents at home who were shielding during the pandemic. Since then, we've evolved into so much more," Jenny explained.
"From our annual care leavers Christmas dinner, our Tree of Life support sessions for those who have experienced trauma, to skills and confidence building for young people, we aim to support everyone who needs it, in a culturally appropriate way."
A W12 for the future
With ambitions to create a social classroom at local GP surgery Parkview soon, W12 Together are continuously finding new ways to support their community.
This innovative space would offer wraparound support for patients and residents – whether it's a calming chat before an appointment, translation help for non-English speakers or group sessions for parents managing childhood asthma.
It's all part of W12 Together's mission to make health and wellbeing accessible, compassionate and community driven.
