Hammersmith & Fulham residents have already helped raise £890,000 in support of local green projects. But can you help us get to £1million?
More than 800 people have now backed our low-risk investment offer H&F Green Investment. Among the investors are dozens of H&F residents and community groups.
“This is your final chance to lock in a 4.85%-a-year interest rate across the entire five-year term,” said Cllr Rowan Ree, H&F Cabinet Member for Finance and Reform.
The first phase of the scheme will close once it reaches £1m. It offers residents and businesses a unique chance to fund projects that help improve their local area. In return, they’ll make a fixed return of interest rate and capital, paid every six months.
Investors have until Tuesday 13 February to secure the current rate, which will expire once the £1million target has been raised.

Big ambitions
H&F has set the ambitious target of raising £5m through a series of investment phases. It is the UK's biggest community investment opportunity issued by a local authority in support of green projects.
The first of 500 new cycle hangars have recently been installed, making it safer than ever for residents to bike the borough. “It’s already helping us transform our patch of London for the better,” added Cllr Ree.
Next, the Green Investment Fund will help us:
- plant our fourth Tiny Forest in Frank Banfield Park in Hammersmith
- extend our green verges along New King’s Road in Fulham to help alleviate flooding locally
- restore the wildlife pond in the northern end of Ravenscourt Park in Hammersmith.

Holding investments in an IFISA does not reduce the risk of the investment or protect you from losses. You can still lose all your money. H&F Green Investment, which is a loan, is Green Loan Principles compliant and is being issued under a Green Finance Framework. This is a voluntary standard which sets out how Hammersmith & Fulham Council intends to manage its green local authority securities in the future, and outlines how they will meet the Green Loan Principles. This assures investors that funds raised can only be used to help them deliver on eligible green projects from within this framework, and Abundance will monitor the use of funds across the investment term to ensure the principles are being adhered to.
