Shepherds Bush Library has re-opened after being transformed over the winter break.

As part of Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s continuing investment in its libraries, the building in Wood Lane has had a new floor installed and been completely redecorated, with a new customer service desk, meeting room and updated children’s library.

“While many councils across the UK are closing libraries to save money, we’re investing in ours,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Environment.

“There’s so much more to libraries than books. They’re essential hubs for the local community, hosting events, providing information and services well beyond loaning literature. Come see for yourself.”

You’re invited!

Residents are invited to come along and view the improvements at an open day at the library from 10am on Saturday 8 February. The library is conveniently located next to the Westfield shopping mall and close to Shepherds Bush Green.

You can enjoy the activities and fun for all ages, with adult craft sessions, face painting for children, a theatre company performance and much more.
