Half-price tickets for two stirring Shakespeare productions are on offer to Hammersmith & Fulham residents.
The oldest drama school in the UK, LAMDA – which is financially supported by H&F Council – continues its new autumn season with the dark comedy Measure for Measure (28 November-7 December), directed by David Mercatali, and The Taming of the Shrew (29 November-7 December), directed by Rebecca Frecknall.
Tickets are now on sale for the shows at the new Sainsbury Theatre in the college at Talgarth Road, Barons Court, with half-price concessions for borough residents.
“It’s a wonderful chance for our residents to see top-class drama at reduced prices, and experience a new theatre space which forms part of a £28.2million investment in the arts,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration.
Meanwhile, LAMDA is hosting an open day on Saturday 2 December for anyone interested in training for a career backstage.
It’s free but those attending are asked to book a spot in advance by emailing Rob Young, head of technical training, at rob.young@lamda.ac.uk
Take advantage of the £7 ticket offer (usual price £14) by visiting the LAMDA website.
And let it not displease thee!
