If you are over 60, then why not come and celebrate the day with other residents?

Christmas Day lunch at Hammersmith Town Hall

Hammersmith & Fulham residents over 60, who are not having lunch with anyone on Christmas Day, are invited to join us at the town hall on 25 December to enjoy festive food and entertainment and make new friends.

“We want to ensure all our older residents can have a great Christmas”, said Cllr Ben Coleman, Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care.

“Our lunches for people who’d otherwise be alone on Christmas Day are a lot of fun. We hold them every year – the only council in the country do so.”

“This year will be our largest Christmas party yet, with up to 350 guests. The council is putting in funding and we’re grateful to IndependentAge for a generous donation.”

“H&F is known for its community spirit and generosity and we’re hoping people will pitch in with more donations, and even some time on the day, to help make the event an extra special one.”

Guest application form

The guest list is now full and we have removed the application forms.

We’re looking for donations towards free transport, a hearty Christmas lunch, entertainment and a Christmas present for older residents who’d otherwise be alone at this special time of year. Please help by making a pledge large or small.

We've had a fantastic response to our request for volunteers and we now have enough people to help us on the day. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered.
