You are invited to light a candle to mark the International Day of Peace on Wednesday at a special event in Hammersmith.
The commemoration begins at 3.30pm where you can sign a book of peace in Lyric Square.
The day was founded by the UN in 1981 to promote and strengthen the ideals of peace among all nations.
“This a valuable chance for hundreds of millions of people to come together across the world in a shared hope for a more peaceful future,” Sue Fennimore, H&F Cabinet Member for Social Inclusion.
“You will be able to join them on Wednesday afternoon and add your own thoughts and reflections about the need for a world without conflict.”
The event was organised by H&F Mayor, Cllr Mercy Umeh.
School children from across H&F will be joined by Met Police borough commander, Chief Superintendent Gideon Springer, as well as faith leaders and representatives from community groups.
A singer will perform at the end of the event which is expected to finish at 4.30pm.
