Lianne La Havas leads the fifth birthday party celebrations at Under the Bridge in Fulham

Fulham’s atmospheric music night spot Under The Bridge is celebrating its fifth birthday by hosting soul and jazz performer Lianne La Havas.

The venue beneath the east stand at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium marks its anniversary with a string of shows to benefit the Musicians without Borders charity… including Lianne’s.

The multi-instrumentalist performs on Wednesday 23 March with a blend of pop, jazz and soul, fresh from a headline gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

Since it opened in 2011, the SW6 venue has hosted shows from stars including The Maccabees, Take That, Bruno Mars, Kasabian, Alicia Keys, Stereophonics, Justin Bieber, Rufus Wainwright and Jessie J.

All can now definitively state that they’ve played at Stamford Bridge!

Details of the four other anniversary gigs will be announced later, but all proceeds go to Musicians without Borders, which uses the power of music to bridge divides, connect communities and heal the wounds of war.

Alan Tenenbaum, the venue’s creative manager, said: “We’ve enjoyed some incredible live performances over five years and I hope with these anniversary concerts we can continue to make a positive, worthwhile contribution to the live music scene in the UK.”

Laura Hassler, founder of Musicians without Borders, said the charity had worked in the Balkans, the Middle East, central Africa and in other parts of the EU. “This hugely exciting series of shows will provide much-needed financial support to the work we are doing around the world,” she said.

Under the Bridge has established itself as a leading live music venue on the London circuit, winning numerous industry awards.

Tickets for Lianne La Havas are £10 from with all proceeds going to Musicians without Borders.
