Residents with views on a possible third runway at Heathrow are urged to give evidence to a local commission tasked with looking at the local impact of airport expansion.

If you live in the borough you can have your say about the Airport Commission's two shortlisted Heathrow expansion options. You should write to the resident-led H&F Commission with your views about what impact expansion would have locally by the deadline of December 13.

Residents can also listen to expert witnesses at a special day-long public hearing on December 10. It will run from 9am to 5pm in the Small Hall at Hammersmith Town Hall.

Evidence gathered by the H&F Commission will form the basis of a report, which will be submitted to the national Airports Commission in February. H&F Council will also look carefully at the report before making its own submission.

The H&F Commission has cross-party support and includes resident representatives from across the borough. The Commission itself is a non-party-political group.

Commission chair Christina Smyth said: “We want as many residents as possible to give evidence in writing so that we can build an accurate a picture as possible of how Heathrow expansion would affect those of us living or working in the borough.

“We will analyse all residents' views received as well as the documents forming part of the national consultation currently being conducted by the Airports Commission. This is the last consultation exercise by the Airports Commission before it makes its recommendations in summer 2015.”

Written evidence should be submitted by email or in writing to the Commission c/o Tom Conniffe by email to tom.conniffe@lbhf.gov.uk or by post to Room 39, Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, London W6 9JU.

Submissions must include your name and address in order to be considered.
