You can pay library charges by card, contactless, Apple and Android Pay. Speak to library staff for more details.
Concessions
Users of the Home Library Service are exempt from all charges.
Children and teenagers under 18 are exempt from overdue charges.
Loans
All items may be renewed up to 8 times (unless reserved). Renewals may be made online, by telephone or by visiting any of our libraries.
There is no charge for loaning:
- audiobooks
- books
- CDs
- DVDs
- DVD boxed sets
- learning packs
- language courses.
Overdue items
We charge 25p a day per item, up to a maximum of £10 per item, per renewal period.
Requests
Stock that is available within Hammersmith & Fulham or the Libraries Consortium is free to reserve.
Postal notifications
We charge £1.20 for each postal reservation or overdue notification for all library users. Notices sent by email do not incur any charges.
Lost membership cards
We charge £1 to replace lost membership cards for library users under 15. All other users are charged £3.
Lost or damaged items
Lost or damaged library items - Full replacement cost either using item price on library management system or if unavailable default price = £10.00

PCs
Library members can use our PCs for free for the first hour. After this, there is a 60p charge for every 30 minutes.
Non-members are charged 60p for every 30 minutes.
Children under 18 can use the PCs for free.
We sell memory sticks for £9.
