What's happening in your libraries

Craft Club (children's)

Club commences on Wednesday 1 November.

Fulham library, Wednesday 4pm to 5pm (suitable for ages 5-11). No booking required.

Chatterbooks (children's book club)

Shepherds Bush library, Fortnightly, Wednesday 4pm to 5pm. Suitable for 6 to 11-year-olds. (Term time only).

Chess Club

Hammersmith library, Wednesday 5.30pm to 6.45pm for adults and children.

Coding Club

Learn how to program using Code.org, Python and Minecraft with Stefan. (You must bring your own laptop to be able to use Minecraft and Python.)

This club is suitable for children aged 7+ and is limited to 6 spaces.

Fulham library, Sunday 11am to 12pm. Starting 17th September 2023, Registration must be made in advance either by emailing fulhamlibrary@lbhf.gov.uk, at the customer service desk or by phone on 020 8753 3877.

Crochet Club (children's)

This club is suitable for complete beginners (ages 6-12).

Fulham library, Mondays 4pm to 5pm. Materials supplied.

English Conversation Groups

Askew Road library, Wednesdays 11.00am to 12.00pm. Suitable for adults 

IT help sessions

These sessions need to be booked in advance and can provide basic one-to-one IT help.

Askew Road library (30-minute sessions), Monday and Wednesday 2.30pm and 3pm. Please book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3863.

Hammersmith library (60-minute sessions), Monday 11am to 12 noon, Wednesday 11am to 12 noon and 2pm to 3pm, Thursday 2pm to 3pm and 3pm to 4pm. Please book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3820.

Shepherds Bush library, Wednesday 2pm to 3pm. 30-minute 1-1 sessions for basic IT help. Book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3842

Knitting Club

Askew Road library, Monday 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Fulham library, alternate Saturdays 10am to 12 noon.

Hammersmith library, Friday 2pm to 3.30pm.

Law Enforcement Team surgeries

The Law Enforcement Team are running surgeries in our libraries. Residents can raise problems or seek advice, particularly about antisocial behaviour, street cleansing or any other local issues. 

The surgeries run from 2pm to 4pm at the following libraries:

  • Shepherds Bush Library – 1st Monday of the month
  • Hammersmith Library – 2nd Monday of the month
  • Fulham Library – 3rd Monday of the month.

Lego Club

Fulham library, Saturday 2pm to 4pm.

Shepherds Bush library, Saturday 11am to 12 noon. 

Suitable for all children (under 3s must be supervised)

Maths homework

Askew Road library Friday 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Suitable for primary school children

Music sessions

Shepherds Bush library, Thursday 1.30pm to 2.15pm. Suitable for babies to 5-year-olds (term time only). Book at Shepherds Bush library's customer service desk.

Origami Club

Alice’s Origami Club at Hammersmith library, Thursday 3.30pm to 4.30pm for adults and children.

Reading groups

Shepherds Bush library, last Thursday of the month 5.30pm-6.30pm. Book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3842.

Shepherds Bush Library, Mondays 2-3pm. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Book at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3842.

Askew Road library reading group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Please enquire at the customer service desk or call 020 8753 3863.

Hammersmith Library reading group meets on the last Wednesday of every month from 5.45pm to 6.45pm. Please contact hammersmithlibrary@lbhf.gov.uk to find out more about this group.

Storytelling and drawing session

Gizem’s storytelling and drawing session at Hammersmith library, Wednesday 3.30pm to 4.30pm for children aged 4 to 11.
