Latest updates – construction phase

Recent progress on site includes:

  • the building has been demolished, and foundation works are progressing well - these will carry on throughout January and early February
  • the parking bays opposite the site have been re-located to aid in the movement of vehicles and mitigate any disruption to residents from traffic turning into site.

Upcoming work on site includes:

  • the foundation works will be completed, and the ground floor slab will be cast
  • the tower crane will be erected in February.

Saturday working:

Neilcott will be working on site for the next 5 Saturdays (8 February to 8 March 2025) from 8am to 1pm.

This is to make sure the concrete foundations are completed as efficiently as possible and avoid wet weather delays. The work will involve using machinery and potential delivery of concrete. The site team will endeavour to keep noisy works to a minimum.

Project overview

The re-development will:

  • deliver 31 high quality, energy efficient new homes on this under-used site
  • provide affordable housing for local people (50% of the new homes will be affordable)
  • provide high-quality landscaping which encourages biodiversity
  • be built to high energy efficiency, Passivhaus Classic Standard.

New homes

Hammersmith & Fulham Council are delivering 31 new homes on the site, of which 10 will be let at social rent, 6 will be shared ownership and 15 will be available to buy as leasehold homes. The homes are due to be completed around Spring 2026.

The 10 social rent homes will be prioritised for local people in housing need. Anyone interested in these homes should join the council's housing register. More information on the housing register here.

The 6 shared ownership homes will be prioritised for people who live or work in the borough. We do not yet have information about what the prices will be. You can find out more information about shared ownership in the borough through the council's Home Buy team.

The 15 homes available to buy will be marketed closer to the end of the project.
