If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, they will be starting reception in primary school from September 2026.
You can start applying for a school place from 1 September 2025 when the applications open. The application process closes on 15 January 2026, and the national offer day is 16 April 2026.

If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you are unable to submit your application before the closing date, you must indicate this when you apply, or you may provide your reasons by emailing school.admissions@lbhf.gov.uk as soon as possible.
If your application is late, your child will not be considered for an offer on national offer day but will wait until the second round of offers.
