Parental conflict

Conflict can be seen as a normal part of any relationship. How parents interact, regardless of whether they are together or separated, has a big impact on their children.

UPG also deliver a group course called 'Strengthening relationships within families'. It supports parents to think about 'constructive' ways to deal with disagreement as opposed to 'destructive'.

Supporting your child through anxiety, anger, or sadness

The H&F Inspire service helps parents and carers of primary school children, to support their child to understand and regulate their emotions. Children often learn to do this at school, but it is important for both the child's family and school to work together on this.

You can join an 'Emotional regulation' workshop to learn strategies and practical tools. This includes how to identify triggers, set up check-ins, build a toolbox of regulation strategies and create daily structures.

To find out when the next workshop will take place and for any questions, please email inspire@lbhf.gov.uk.
