Wednesday Mixed Market update 30 Aug 2024
Since 3 July 2024, we have been piloting a new Wednesday market. Trading hours are 8am to 5pm.
Due to the high demand and success of the Wednesday Mixed Market the council will be extending the pilot beyond September 2024.
Currently we do not have any vacant pitches but you can express an interest by emailing the team at Streettrading@lbhf.gov.uk and your details will be added to the waiting list.
Alternatively, you can register as an ad hoc trader. This is suitable for traders who can trade at short notice when we have cancellations but we cannot guarantee you will be allocated a pitch.
Please complete and return the application form along with supporting documentation.
We are seeking a diverse range of vendors who sell:
- hot and cold culinary items such as cheese, meats, breads, cakes and fresh produce
- flowers and plants
- crafts
- and other goods.
Do not purchase public liability insurance until you have a confirmed pitch.

Thursday and Friday markets
Our food markets on Lyric Square on Thursday and Friday every week are very successful and attract hundreds of people looking for something different and tasty for lunch.
Because of their success, we get many enquiries from traders wanting to trade on the square and we have lots of names on our waiting list. For now, we have temporarily closed our waiting list and should any vacancies become available we will advertise them here on our website.
Hammersmith Food Market
Every Thursday from 8am to 5pm.
Expect to find handmade pasta dishes, Caribbean style salads, a hog roast cooked on site, Thai cuisine, crepes, savouries, falafels as well as pastries and cakes.

Every Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Tube: Nearest underground station is Hammersmith on the Hammersmith & City Line, District Line and Piccadilly Line.
Buses: 27, 190, 391, H91, 266, 267, N9, N11
Walking: From Hammersmith tube (District and Piccadilly Lines), cross the road with the Swan pub in front of you, walk down King Street to the left of the pub and Lyric Square is just after Pret-a-Manger on your right.
From Hammersmith tube (Hammersmith & City Line), turn right out of the tube station, walk along Beadon Road, Lyric Square is on your left.
Car parking: There is an NCP car park behind the square.
